Congressional Votes

Postby FAADAN » Tue May 02, 2017 6:40 am

I see that all of our Representatives in Congress voted for the 1.1 trillion dollar spending bill that did not fund the wall but did fund Planned Parenthood and Sanctuary cities and also approved more H2b visas for immigrants to take American jobs. Great job folks.

Maybe they had to pass it before they could see what's in it. All of them are worthless.

And the House also voted for the so-called Trumpcare bill which, rather than improve on horrible Obamacare, seems to exclude a lot of people with pre-existing conditions giving the nattering nabobs of negativity in the Media lots and lots of ammunition. The Senate is going to have fun with this one.

Next up is another tax revision plan which is so transparent in how it favors the very wealthy to ridiculous levels and is guaranteed to make the Deficit even worse. Who the Hell is drawing this crap up anyway ?

Number 45 and a group of right wing "freedom for everyone" fools who are going after every cent you have. Luckily most of this won't go into effect till the next budget goes into effect. Then hold on to your wallet as the rich get A LOT richer. Enjoy what you have now as soon most of it will be gone next year....

Every lousy politician out there will take very dime they're offered from the insurance industry. Obamacare was set up with some kind of guarantee against loses. Trumpcare has no price controls. Both plans stink to high heaven although don's bill as it came out of congress is a real disaster. Maybe this thing will die in the senate.

The House GOP is clueless. I'm sure the Senate GOP will clean up their mess. There is plenty of chatter out there about House GOPers hating the House bill, but being assured by House leadership and WH that the House and WH needed this victory, but to rest assured that the Senate would come to the rescue. Billy Long and the others fell for that, so now we get to see that dumbass political party throw itself a life preserver. Hope it's got a plenty of rope.

The line that the Democrats are using that no policies will be available for those with preexisting conditions is simply a left wing lie.

The biggest part of the proposed tax cut is corporate tax cuts. When you look at it, corporate taxes are actually paid by those who buy the products made by the corporations so, it is really a tax break for us.

You can't give tax breaks to those who pay no taxes, which is about 45% of our citizens.

Apparently the individual States will be able to get some sort of exemption or credit, I'm not sure which with all the mumbo-jumbo going on, for those with pre-existing conditions.

Seeing the abysmal record of the present filthy anti-worker Legislature in this State, particularly the Senate, nothing good will happen in MO for those with pre-existing and the new Governor's record with multiple attacks on Senior Citizen programs adds to that. We're still waiting for his tax returns to be made public so we can discover exactly who "bought" him with the "top secret" $4 Million donation to his Campaign.

Corporate tax cuts will surely be passed-on to Consumers in the form of lowered prices and increased employment....sure they will...and the Sun rises in the West and sets in the East and the Moon is made of green cheese... Reagan used that " trickle-down" logic too and it worked....NOT ! One thing is certain...the incredible deficit will increase.
