What's going on at Highway 76 and Business 13? The corner across from Country Mart is being cleared. Inquiring minds want to know.

Maybe they are finally building a larger WalMart so they have more shelf space and aren't always sold out of everything you need ?

Per the Gazette, the Ayres family is doing the work to make it more attractive for future buyers.

Branson West won't be attractive to future buyers as long as they keep the city manager they have. No one wants to build anything there because they have to deal with him. Talk to the folks at Oakley's.

A guy down the road from me is a district manager for Casey's and said the same thing. They been looking at a location or two. Not that the area needs another gas station/c-store.

Wishful thinking but an Aldi's would be great. They have been contacted about a Branson location but declined claiming the area was too "Seasonal" :!:

They would sure save area residents a ton of money on groceries...

Thought I'd bump this to the top and see who's still alive. A lot of work still going on here for just a 'clean it up' project. Looks like there are some utility boxes sitting up there now.

Some are claiming it's going to be a shopping center or a strip mall. Tons of money being spent there just to supposedly "clean it up" like they are telling people.

Beginning to wonder, we went almost a full 30 days without any activity of any kind.

Several of my wife's friends are clamoring for a Casey's. I have no idea of why. Plenty of gas stations around.

Agreed, and their prices for it are very reasonable too.
