El Lago

   Went there last evening for a change from our usual Mex joint (Tequila's) and will never, ever return.

Unsanitary utensils had to be sent back TWICE as the ones provided in their little bags they use were filthy with easily visible food remaining on them....blech, yuk ! That immediately made us wonder about the other potential unsanitary problems existing there especially after the second return/rejection.

Margaritas were watered down and almost tasteless with little or no noticeable alcohol content and with the tiniest little mini-slices of Lime on them that must have been carved out by a skilled Surgeon with a very sharp scalpel.

Chips were so incredibly thin they were useless for my habit of scooping up small amounts of warm Frijoles on them as a dip.

When the food arrived it was only semi-warm and on the very low end of just OK but we quickly noticed before ordering hardly any of the items on the menu were served with the traditional Rice and Beans.

By the time we left the place was crowded ( I sure don't understand why) and extremely noisy...even worse than trying to eat peacefully at the very noisy Fillin' Station in Lampe, and you almost had to shout to carry on a conversation. That eating area is like an echo chamber.

That's disappointing. We like to there and get the double fajitas. Made the mistake of going on taco tuesday once. Never again. It was so noisy, conversation was impossible. Pickin's are getting pretty slim up and down 13. We go to Flat Creek every 2-3 weeks and like it a lot. But it can get awfully noisy too. And they've never ran out of onion rings!

We try to get there around 4. A bit early but at least we can find a place to park.
